Artwork Requirements: Embroidery
Please supply your artwork on disk or via upload on the quote request form or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please choose a category below that best describes your artwork.
This would mean you previously had your team or company’s logo digitized / transformed from an image or text to a stitch file that an embroidery machine can read. We would need the file submitted to be in a Tajima .dst or .emb format. We prefer to digitize the file ourselves because a large part of the quality of the embroidery is in the digitizing.
Vector Based Artwork:
If you had your artwork created by a graphic designer you more than likely can get your artwork in this format. Vector images also called object oriented or draw images, are defined as a series of points joined by lines. Vector based images are resolution independent, which means you can easily resize them from thumbnail size to billboard size and not lose an quality of your image. This type of file ends in .ai, .eps, .cdr. If your designer is able to send you the file please have them convert it to curves prior to sending. This will avoid any problems with fonts not matching our graphic fonts. Please make sure if you have specific colors you would like to use to include that within your quote. We can match most pantone numbers. So if you have very specific colors ask your graphic artist what your PMS colors are.
Pixel Based Artwork:
If your artwork was not created by a graphic designer but the artwork was created in a Pixel based program such as Photoshop/Word etc. using clip art and fonts. With this type of art you are working in a world of color and photographic quality imagery. Pixel images also called bitmap or raster images are made of individual dots called pixels that are arranged and color differently to form a pattern or picture. When you zoom in you can see individual squares that make the total image. In this type of artwork resizing could affect the quality of the image. Please try to send us a clean .bmp, .jpg, .tif, .pdf, or .gif. file.
This would be if you took a scanned image from a drawing, yellow pages, newspaper ads, business cards, letterhead, or photocopies. We may be able to work with this type of art, but we would need to review it and let you know.
If you only have a rough sketch or concept we will be able to help you make your vision a reality. You can either search our stock designs to find something you would like. If you want something more custom we will have our graphic artist draw up several ideas for you to come up with what you are looking for. The art fee for this service starts at $200.00. Then once the artwork is complete there would also be a fee for making the digitized file.
If you are not sure which format your artwork is in please contact us at 301-845-0008 so that we may assist you in determining what you have.
Note: If the artwork supplied requires typesetting, changes, touchups, or does not meet BAM Consulting, LLC specifications, we may need to modify the artwork and charge accordingly. The minimum artwork charge is $25.00 and is billed at $60.00 per hour. You will be advised of needed changes and have an estimate of charges necessary to bring the artwork up to embroidery standards.
